JAMMU, June 17: Government today ordered promotion of four Assistant Scientific Officers (ASOs) as Scientific Officers (SOs) in the J&K Forensic Science Laboratory.
An order issued in this context said that on recommendation of Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission, sanction has been accorded to the promotion of ASOs Syed Nabi Ahmad Andrabi and Rais Ahmad Shah as SOs in the Chemistry & Toxicology lab while as ASOs Dr Nida and Sheikh Suheel Ahmed have been promoted as SOs in the Documents and Fingerprints division of the lab.
The promotions of the ASOs shall be subject to the outcome of writ petition(s)/appeals/OAs/TAs, if any, pending before any competent court(s) of law/tribunals.
