Sir,
Giving full support to the nation wide stir by the Anganwadi workers, such employees of the state are observing protest programmes at district headquarters to draw the attention of the authorities towards the neglect faced by the workers in this sector by the Government.
The wages paid to the workers continue to be the lowest in comparison to those casual labourers engaged in manual work at construction sites or on roads. The working hours too are not specified. Permanent status still eludes us with usual benefits. The Social Welfare Department in particular ICDC projects are ignored by the Government to be attended to. An example of which is that even the wages paid remain unpaid for months together even beyond 8 to 9 months. Other demands based on sustenance looking to the cost of living going so high must be resolved by the Government.
Yours etc…..
