UDHAMPUR, June 18: Gori Mitti -Saroli Dhar annual Mela in Tehsil Moungri of District Udhampur is being held with full religious devotion and enthusiasm.
Today was the 2nd day of the Mela and about 8000-10000 devotees from different districts of Jammu region participated in this famous Mela. Shari Yatra from Jammu will reach Moungri tomorrow.
Today’s main attractions of the Mela were the Dogri cultural items presented by famous singer Chaman Lehari and Party as well as colorful items presented by the students of various Institutions.
District Development Chairperson Udhampur Lal Chand was chief guest on the occasion. He was accompanied by Jasvir Singh, DDC Panchari-Moungri, Ex Minister Pawan Kumar Gupta, BJP All Morcha State President Munish Sharma, Ex MLA Jammu Dr Krishan Bhagat and others.
In order to make this historic Mela successful, full support was extended by the District Administration Udhampur through Mela officer Karnail Singh, Naib Tehsildar Moungri, and SHO Panchari SI Gaurav Singh Slathia, Chowki Officer Damnote. Mela Management Committee is too playing a significant role in this regard.
