11 from J&K qualified for fellowships by Ministry of Culture

JAMMU, June 19: A total of 11 persons from J&K have qualified for junior and senior fellowships for the years 2020-21 and 2021-22 as the list for that was put in public domain today by the Union Ministry of Culture.
Candidates from J&K selected for the year 2020-21 under the scheme for award of fellowship to outstanding persons in the field of culture were Parveez Ahmad Shaksaz of Anantnag and he got fellowship in the field of Ghazal; Pawan Verma of Jammu in the Literature Field of Dogri; Maqsood Hussain Baghat of Budgam in the Literature Field of Kashmiri and Brijesh Avtar Sharma of Jammu in the field of Theatre.
Similarly for the year 2021-22, Maneesha Rani of Jammu got fellowship in the field of Folk/Traditional and Indigenous Art for Folk Songs; Chander Mohan Zutshi of Jammu in the field of Folk Theatre; Ab Rashid Barqi of Srinagar in the field of Theatre; Ravinder Jamwal of Samba in the field of Sculpture; Shazia Batool of Jammu in the field of Theatre; Bhasha Sumbli of Jammu in the field of Theatre and Insha Manzoor of Jammu in the field of Visual Art.
