Seven vehicles seized for illegal mining

JAMMU, June 19:

At least seven vehicles were seized for mining illegally in Jammu District today, police said. They said that one tractor trolley was seized by a team of Police Station Nagrota led by SHO concerned, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, one dumper by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Vikram Sharma, two vehicles by a team of Police Station Gharota led by Inspector Joginder Singh Chib, SHO Gharota, one tractor trolley by a team of Police Station Khour led by Inspector Rahul Mahajan, SHO Khour, and one tipper each by teams of Police Posts Sidhra and Chattha led by in-charges Police Posts PSI Arun Kumar and PSI Harjinder Paul Singh. “DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries made,” police said, adding that the vehicles seized were mining in violation of a High Court order.
