JAMMU, Dec 9: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) today registered a strong protest over the news item published in ‘Excelsior’, which states that Rehari Chungi-BC Road flyover project has been put in the cold storage by the State Government under political pressure.
In a meeting with senior Cabinet Ministers, Ali Mohd Sagar and Abdul Majid Wani in official chamber of Sagar in Civil Secretariat here today, JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, expressed serious resentment over the issue.
Alleging that a strong resentment among the people of Jammu is growing over callous attitude and bad intentions of the Government, which is directly responsible for the worst traffic scenario in Jammu city, Dimple appealed both the Ministers to take up the matter in the Cabinet and clear the Government stand on it, failing which they would gherao the Civil Secretariat.
Dimple alleged that Government has no traffic mobile plan for Jammu city and is misleading the people with hollow assurances.
Dimple also raised the issue of supply of drinking water from river Chenab and construction of circular roads with the Ministers.
The Ministers assured Dimple that appropriate steps would be taken to sort out every issue including Rehari Chungi-BC Road Flyover after threadbare discussions in a meeting of the administration to be held on 11th of this month.
