SAMBA, Dec 9: The 43rd Martyrdom Day of Capt. Bahadur Singh (Veer Chakra) will be observed at his native village Bhambo Chak in Ramgarh area of Samba district on December 15.
This was informed to media persons by Committee of Capt Bahadur Singh celebrations, president Balwant Singh today. He was flanked by Ujjagar Singh cashier of the Committee, Avinash Choudhary, its press and publicity secretary, Sat Pal Salarvi, general secretary of the organization and Ashok Sharma.
He said Capt Bahadur Singh was serving in Indian Army 10 Sikh Li. During 1971 Indo-Pak war he attacked Pak Army in Cactus Lilli Operation in Badmer Rajasthan and inflicted heavy loss to them. In this operation he also sacrificed his life for the unity and integrity of the nation.
He said a Samarak on the name of the martyr was constructed in his village and Committee framed to celebrate his martyrdom day every year.
