Body of minor retrieved from Hokersar after 3 days

Srinagar, June 21: The body of a minor who had fallen into the Bemina flood channel three days ago was today recovered from Hokersar Lake, according to officials.
The deceased has been identified as Ikhlas Qayoom, a resident of Hamdania Colony of Srinagar’s Bemina.
Authorities have stated that the body has been transported for medico-legal formalities and will be handed over to the grieving family once all necessary procedures are completed.
The incident occurred when Ikhlas accidentally slipped into the Bemina flood channel three days ago.
Upon receiving the distressing news, the River Police team immediately collaborated with local volunteers to launch an extensive search operation to locate the missing minor.
The search efforts involved rigorous and coordinated measures to trace Ikhlas. Finally, after three days of intense search operations, the lifeless body was discovered in Hokersar Lake.
