Despite ‘no power cut’ promise Jammu reels under power cuts: NC

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 22: Additional spokesperson of J&K National Conference, Zeeshan Rana today slammed the government for making bogus promises on providing uninterrupted power supply in Jammu city because despite ‘no power cut’ promise, the region is reeling under load shedding and severe power outage with electricity playing hide and seek with public.
In a statement issued to the media today, the NC leader said that officials working under Modi Government and its proxy dispensation in J&K, have developed a knack of telling lies as just a couple of days before they boasted that Jammu City will be supplied with round the clock power but the scenario on ground has gone worst from bad as last two days in Jammu were pathetically horrendous as electricity supply started playing hide and seek with vast stretches and mohallas facing power outages for long hours with no satisfactory response from any of the concerned quarters.
Zeeshan said that the situation with regard to water supply and the ration is also dismal as people in the city are facing the worst ever water crisis and cuts in ration supply are also disappointing. He said that those who supported BJP during polls are now repenting and looking for other options. He said that unlike bogus assurances of BJP leadership, the NC under the stewardship of Dr Farooq Abdullah knows the issues and problems of the people of J&K and have solutions for all problems.
The NC leader urged the people of J&K to rectify the mistake which they committed by voting BJP to power after getting misled on `Achhe Din’ promise, which is a distant dream till date.
