DODA, June 22: DIG DKR Range, Dr. Sunil Gupta here today visited District Doda and took stock of security arrangements in view of upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2023, ongoing local Yatras in the District besides security preparedness ahead of Eid festival.
The DIG chaired a meeting with Police officers at Bhaderwah.
SSP Doda, Abdul Qayoom apprised the DIG about overall crime as well as security scenario in the District besides necessary arrangements in view of ongoing local Yatras and security preparedness for the upcoming Eid festival.
While reviewing crime, the DIG emphasized upon the officers to focus on quality investigation and stressed on making special efforts to ensure disposal of under investigation cases including backlog cases, inquest proceedings and other allied matters to achieve the targets.
The officers were urged upon to work on mission mode approach to eradicate the menace of drugs and make special efforts to get the District drug free so that the innocent youth could be saved from falling prey to drugs.
The DIG expressed satisfaction over the work done by Doda Police on different exercises on the directions of Range Police Headquarters which include record building related to militancy under operation ‘Kitab’ and exercise of its physical verification as well as mounting effective surveillance on suspects under operation ‘Touch’ besides effective area domination plan and nomadic physical verification under operation ‘Milan’ which has acted as deterrence to the anti-social elements to desist them from their nefarious designs.
The DIG stressed upon the officers to be geared up fully and exercise vigil and alertness of highest order, so that peaceful environment and stable law and order situation of the District may not get disturbed and anti-social elements may not succeed to disrupt the situation in view of upcoming Amarnath Yatra, ongoing local Yatras and other fair and festivals in the District. Necessary directions were also issued to the officers for installation of more CCTV cameras to keep activities of miscreants under surveillance and necessary measures under operation ‘Bachao’ to prevent apprehensions of road accidents and other area of policing.
Shakeel Rehman Bhat, Additional SP Hqrs Doda; Vinod Kumar Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah; Jaswant Singh, DySP Hqrs Doda; Vaseem Mehmood, SDPO Bhaderwah; Adil Hussain, SDPO Gandoh; Susheel Kumar, DySP DAR Doda and SHOs of District Doda were also present in the meeting.
