Awareness camp on breast cancer held

JAMMU, June 22: Mahavir International Jammu, a Non-Government Organization (NGO) organized an awareness camp on breast cancer.
The camp was organized in association with Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Katra. Around 35 women underwent screening for breast diseases at the camp. Special training on breast self examination was also conducted for the women. Leaflets were also distributed for breast self examination and health awareness.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the NGO-Rajni Jain, Reecha Jain and Leena Jain said that the breast cancer is spreading fast due to lack of awareness and negligence of the women folk. They said this is the reason that they are organizing such screening camps in association with various institution where women get screened free of cost for breast cancer.
