Mobile snatchers held

JAMMU, June 23: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area claimed to have arrested two mobile snatchers and recovered from their possession the stolen mobile phones.
A police spokesperson said that a written complaint was lodged by one Asha Ram son of Sain Dass of Majua, Bishnah, stating therein that while he was going to walk in the morning, two persons on a motorcycle snatched his Samsung mobile phone and fled away from the spot.
On receipt of the complaint, he said, a case FIR number 156/2023 under section 382 of the IPC was registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation, he said, a team of Police Station Bishnah, using the technical and human intelligence, apprehended two accused persons identified as Govind Kumar son of Ram Dhan and Vishal Kumar son of Mangat Ram of Bhagwana Chak, Bishnah.
On the disclosure of the accused, the police spokesperson said that the stolen mobile phone was recovered and the vehicle used in the commission of the crime was seized.
Further investigation is underway, he added.
