DODA, June 23: Under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, authorities concerned here today seized two trolleys and two heavy excavators involved in illegal mining in Bhalla area of the district.
The operation was conducted with the participation of Revenue Department and District Mineral Officer (DMO) Doda, Sunil Kumar Manhas in collaboration with Naib Tehsildar, Bhalla and Incharge Police Post Bhalla.
DMO Doda along with Naib Tehsildar Bhalla seized one LNT machine and dumps of crushed material at Dar Crusher in Bhadarwah in accordance with the laws outlined in the Mineral Act.
“The seizure of the trolleys, heavy excavators, LNT machine and crushed material underscores determination of administration to address the issue of illegal mining in Bhalla area, sending a strong message that such activities will not be tolerated,” a handout stated.
