JAMMU, June 23: Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has notified four courts of Additional District and Sessions Judges as Special Courts for the purpose of trial of offences under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), 1967.
The notification has been issued in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 22 of the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008.
These four courts are Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court) Budgam, Additional District and Sessions Judge Ganderbal, Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court) Doda (to have jurisdiction over Doda and Kishtwar districts) and Additional District and Sessions Judge Poonch (to have jurisdiction over Poonch and Doda districts).
