‘Many milestones achieved in UT’

JAMMU, June 23: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today said that Jammu and Kashmir has scaled new heights of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has set up many a milestones which were not possible earlier.
Sinha said this while addressing a rally at JDA Ground in Bhagwati Nagar which was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah among others.
“During last nine years, Jammu and Kashmir has achieved many a milestones which were not possible earlier. It has been touching new heights of development,” he said.
Expressing gratitude to Home Minister Amit Shah for his guidance from time-to-time, the Lieutenant Governor said the Jammu and Kashmir administration has achieved many a successes.
“Today the Home Minister has inaugurated and laid foundation stone of developmental projects to the tune of Rs 400 crore which will be a new milestone in the development of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Paying tribute to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary today, Sinha described him protagonist of `Akhand Bharat’ and a brave soldier of India.
He said it was Mukherjee, who launched first ‘Swadeshi Andolan’ in the pious land of Jammu in May 1953 and his vision of ‘Ek Desh, Ek Pradhan, Ek Vidhan’ was fulfilled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2o19.
“Shyama Prasad Mukherjee also opposed the merger of Bengal with Pakistan and today West Bengal is part of India,” Sinha said.
