JAMMU, June 24: Police today arrested one person and recovered 100 grams of heroin from his possession here at Pounichak area.
A police spokesperson said that during routine patrolling, a police team from Police Post Pounichak, led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor, along with SHO Domana, Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal and incharge Police Post Pounichak PSI Nitish Khajuria, apprehended a suspicious individual named Lal Hussain from Alora, Phallian mandal.
“A search of the individual led to the discovery of 100 grams of heroin in his possession,” he said.
The accused has been arrested and booked under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up, he said.
“Further investigations are underway,” added the police spokesperson.
