UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: Police today foiled new modus operandi of smuggling bovine animals, which were found tightly packed and concealed under the bags of cauliflower in a truck.
Nine such bovine animals were rescued and the accused smuggler was arrested by Kud Police during a surprise naka on the National Highway.
Police also seized the truck bearing registration number JK03D-3042, in which the bovine animals were being smuggled to Kashmir.
The arrested smuggler has been identified as Mohd Asaf of kazigund in Anantnag.
