4 more accused of Kishtwar violence surrender before court

BHADERWAH, Dec 10: After evading arrest for over four months, four persons allegedly involved in August 9 Kishtwar communal clashes, surrendered before the Session Court Kishtwar.
Identified as Fida Hussain son of Bashir Ahmed of Gudhali Kishtwar and Jaffer Hussain son of Gulam Hussain Malik of Kishtwar, who were involved in case FIR 146/2013 and FIR 151/2013 respectively, registered in Police Station Kishtwar, surrender before the court.
Two  other accused identified as Abdul Rashid son of Wali Mohd of  Dugga Kishtwar and Mudassar Ahmed Zargar son of  Atta Mohd of  Semna Kishtwar,   required  in FIR number 200/2013 registered in Police Station Kishtwar under Section 120/B, 153 A  RPC  in connection with raising  of anti India  and pro Pakistan slogans during  Eid-Ul- Azha procession, also surrendered before the court.
All these accused were declared as absconder by the court and there was a non bailable warrants pending against them under Section 512 CrPC. After the surrender, two accused were sent to the Judicial custody.
Earlier on December 3, eight accused Khalid Hussain, Ghulam Mustafa, Sajjad Ahmed,   Irshad Ahmed, Mohd Irfan Mir, Arshad Ahmed, Imtayaz Ahmed and Khalid Hussain, all   residence of Bunastan Kishtwar, had surrendered before the Session Court in case FIR number 146/2013 under Section 435, 436, 427, 147, 148, 149 RPC registered in Police Station Kishtwar in connection with August 9 communal violence at Dak Bunglow Chowk Kishtwar.
All the accused pleaded innocence before the court.
It is pertinent to mention here that court has already granted bail to over 40 accused involved in seven different FIR’s  registered in Police Stations Padder and Kishtwar, while nearly one dozen people are still in Judicial custody and over 150 people required in connection with various cases of violence are  absconding.
