Truck knocks down 14 months old baby, Man electrocuted

SAMBA. June 27: A truck knocked a 14-month-old child to death in an industrial unit named Vimal Packing located in the First Phase of the industrial area of Samba.
According to the information received, both the parents of the child worked in the Unit and also lived there. On Tuesday evening, goods were being loaded in a truck in the factory. After loading the goods, all the laborers started resting in the shade nearby.
As soon as the truck started moving out of the factory complex, suddenly the child came under its tyre and he died on the spot. The truck driver fled away from the spot. In a hurry, the child was brought to the District Hospital, Samba, where his post-mortem will be done tomorrow.
The deceased child has been identified as Ashish Kumar son of Shatish Bind resident of Nalanda district, Bihar. The police have registered the case and started and have started searching for the truck and its driver.
Meanwhile a 45 year old man identified as Uttam Chand, son of Chain Singh of Kullian under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Police Station died after receiving an electric shock. He was immediately shifted to Ramgarh Hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
