Municipal Council launches anti encroachment drive

UDHAMPUR, June 27: Udhampur Municipal Council today conducted an anti encroachment drive throughout the Udhampur town to clear traffic congestion caused due to encroachments.
The Municipal Council had already started a public awareness campaign and made announcements through loudspeakers in the town well before conducting the anti encroachment drive, UMC had also requested to all the shopkeepers for removing their encroachments especially from footpaths/pavements.
The objective of the campaign was to aware general public about sanitation, encroachments of footpaths/pavements, illegal constructions and lanes/drains/nallahs etc.
A team of Udhampur Municipality Council Khilafwarji officer Gorav Sani, Assistant Khilafwarji Inder Prkash, Assistant Khilafwarji Sham Lal, Tax officer Ram Paul and other staff members of the Municipality Council conducted the anti-encroachment drive.
