DGP directs for implementation of SC order on beacon lights

JAMMU, Dec 11: Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Prasad said today that he along with his senior police officers have removed red beacon from their vehicles as per the directions of the Supreme Court.
Speaking to reporters at Police Headquarters along with Additional DGP Headquarters Dr Shesh Pal Vaid, Mr Prasad said the police officers have followed guidelines of the Apex Court. All police officers will implement the direction, he added.
He said there was no need to constitute Special Squad for implement the Supreme Court directions as Traffic Police would implement the order.
Mr Prasad said police would ensure that there was no violation of the Apex Court order.
