MENDHAR, Dec 11: Nangi Tekri fortnight was celebrated to commemorate the capture of ‘Nangi Tekri’ hill by Indian Army on December 11, 1971.
The Army organized a large number of welfare activities for the people of the Krishna Ghati sector during the occasion.  Various  programmes were conducted which included horse show, cultural programmes and installation of CSD. Stall were also installed to provide information regarding State Bank of India and courses at Indra Gandhi National Open University.
GOC Ace of Spade, Maj Gen V P Singh, Commander Krishna Ghati brigade and a large number of civil dignitaries as well as SDM Mendhar Romesh Kumar and along with large number of civilian and Government officers attended the function.
