Arrangements for Jawala Ji festival finalised

JAMMU, June 30: Harbah festival was celebrated with religious fervour at Teerath Raj Sidhlakshmi Peeth Shrine Village Lokbhawan in South Kashmir district of Anatnag today.
Devotees in large numbers within and out of Valley thronged the shrine to pay obeisance and joined the festivities which began yesterday evening with Kalash Pooja. The Pooran Ahuti was offered today. The havan was performed by Shastri Makhan Lal Ji and Pooja of Mahakaal Bhairav atop the hillock will be performed on July 1.
Village Lokbhawan has its religious importance for times immemorial the shrine finds its mention in Neelmat Puran also. Lokbhawan has its historical importance as well as per Rajtarangini its ancient name was Lokpuniya founded by Raja Loknath. The shrine is famous for its religious importance as it is said that people particularly women while observing fast and taking dip in holy water at the shrine are absolved of all sins. Swami Mirza Kak Ji and Nund Reshi too have mentioned about it in their Vaaks.
The shrine is located at the foot of a hillock on its two sides a very big spring with plenty of fish natural water flow and mighty Chinars add to the cold calm and serene atmosphere.
UT Government and local administration all concerned departments and agencies had made elaborate arrangements for the pilgrims Management of the Trust. The Trust complimented the Government for its support. S L Koul, PN Raina, DP Raina, Sanjay Koul, TK Raina, Pawan Ji Koul, Sanjay Koul and his team also complimented the locals for their support in making the celebrations a grand success.
The Harbah Festival was also celebrated at Jammu at Sidh Lakshmi Peeth Temple premises in Durga Nagar Sector 2 in which large number of devotees participated to seek the blessing of Mata Sidh Lakshmi.
Meanwhile, M K Raina, president, Jawala Ji Samit Khrew, Swami Jeewan Sahabi Mandir Prabhandak Trust, Ladhoo, general secretary, Ravi Ji Bhat, Mandir Committee Wuyan, Baladevi Asthapan Committee, Balhama and Sedeshwar Temple Committee Pampore have finalised the arrangements for Har Chutardashi festival to be held at Jawala Ji Khrew on July 2.
