POONCH, July 2: Two youth were injured in an accident in Sathra area of Mandi in Poonch district today.

Official sources said that a motorcycle bearing registration number, JK02DD -5391 was on its way towards Budha Amarnath Mandir in Mandi, When it reached Sathra, the bike was hit by a Matador bearing registration number, JK02BG- 5527. It was going back after paying obeisance at Shri Budha Amarnath temple. Both the bike riders were injured in the mishap.
They were taken to Sub District Hospital Mandi, where after initial treatment, one person with multiple injuries was shifted to District Hospital Poonch for advance treatment.
Injured were identified as Raman Kumar (27), son of Raj Kumar, resident of Mishriwala Jammu, and Rakesh Kumar, son of Pritam Lal, a resident of Talab Tillo in Jammu.
A Police officer said that a case FIR number 66/2023 under sections 279, 337 has been registered in Police Station Mandi and investigation initiated.
