POONCH, Dec 12: Principal Sessions Judge Poonch, Jaffer Hussain Beigh today awarded seven years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 10,000 to Javed Iqbal, son of Ahmed Din of Poonch, who was facing trial in rape case for the last 10 years.
After hearing Advocate Satpaul Sharma for the accused whereas Public Prosecutor Choudhary Nazir Hussain for the State, Principal Sessions Judge Poonch observed, “prosecution has proved the case against the accused person”.
Accordingly, the court awarded rigorous imprisonment for seven years to the accused.
