JAMMU, July 4: Jammu and Kashmir Police have sought help from public in identifying a person who died under mysterious circumstances in Bishnah Town.
A police spokesperson said that an unidentified body was recovered on July 1, 2023, from Lalyana Village of Bishnah Town.
To ascertain the actual cause of the death, inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC was initiated at Police Station Bishnah on July 1 itself and the body was shifted to the mortuary of the SDH Bishnah for conducting the post-mortem, he said.
According to him, the deceased, aged around 50/55 years old, was approximately 5 feet and seven inches tall, wheatish in complexion, and was wearing a blue trouser and check mate shirt.
Police have asked public to dial DPO Jammu (0191-2547807, 01912561378), PCR Jammu (0191-2542000), SP Headquarters Jammu (0191-2439919), SDPO RS Pura (01923-250240), and Police Station Bishnah (01923-236021) on having any information about the deceased.
