MUMBAI, Dec 13: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) declined today by 133.59 points to 20,867.17 in the opening trade as heavy selling was witnessed across the board coupled with weak global cues.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE), was down by 0.77 per cent to 6,189.20.
The sectoral indices like Health Care, FMCG, Metal, Bankex, Power and Realty tumbled in the opening trade.
The losers were BHEL by 3.07 pc, ICICI Bank by 3.04 pc, Tata power by 2.07 pc, HDFC by 1.91 pc and Jindal steel by 1.70 pc.
The gainers were Tata motors by 2.54 pc, Bharti Airtel by 1.27 pc, Coal India by 1.26 pc, Wipro by 1.05 pc and Dr Reddys lab by 0.71 pc. (UNI)
