DODA, July 5: Police here today arrested a narcotic smuggler and recovered intoxicant material Poppy Straw from his possession.
Cops from Police Post Goha while checking vehicles near Goha Marmat stopped a mini-truck of TATA-709 make bearing Registration Number JK06-A 5933, driven by Nisar Ahmed, son of Mohd. Shareef, resident of Rachoo Road, Marmat.
During his search Poppy Straw, which he had concealed in a plastic bag, was recovered.
He was arrested and an FIR with number 140/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in this regard at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
