DC Reasi clarifies report

JAMMU, Dec 13: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Dr Shahid Iqbal has said that his office has already compiled all the necessary formalities for the identification and acquisition of land for bus stands at Katra, Ransoo, Reasi and Mahore.
While reacting to a news item published in today’s edition of this Paper under  caption “Jammu DCs fail to submit proposals for bus stands’’, he said 418 kanals of land have been acquired and proposal was submitted for construction of bus stand at holy town of Katra and a DPR of Rs 45 crore has been prepared for funding by Central Government.  He said 65 kanals of land has been acquired for Bus Stand at Ransoo. The proposal for acquisition of 60 kanals of land for Bus Stand Reasi has been submitted to the Government, he added.
He said as there is no feasibility of constructing of Bus Stand at Mahore given the topography, the BRO has made alternative arrangements for parking.
