REASI, Dec 13: A middle aged man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed rifle in Pouni, here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Beant Singh (50), son of Ishar Singh of Pouni. He shot himself at his house.
At the time of incident, the deceased was alone in the house along with his 12-year old son while his wife had gone to the Gurdwara for prayers. Son of the deceased informed about the mishap to his mother who rushed back from the Gurdwara and found her husband lying dead in a pool of blood.
Police has registered a case in the connection for investigations.
