DDCs meet DC, SSP for highlighting grazing issues of cattle owners

UDHAMPUR, July 7: A delegation of DDC members and Sarpanches today called on Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and SSP Udhampur apprising them about problems being faced by shepherds/cattle owners while grazing the live stock in Dudu- Basantgarh hills during summer.
The delegation, comprising of DDC Latti Matothi Pinky Devi, DDC Narsoo Subash Chander, DDC Ghordi Rakesh Chander Sharma, DDC Ramnagar -1 Mool Raj, DDC Ramnagar- 2 Jatto Ram, Sarpanches of various Panchayats of Latti/Dudu and other prominent persons submitted memorandum explaining the problems.
They said that the majority of the shepherds/cattle owners are poor and marginal farmers having no other source of income and problems being faced by them be addressed on priority.
The Deputy Commissioner and SSP, after listening to the various issues, assured necessary action in this regard.
Makhan Singh, Sarpanch Sira A; Bodh Raj, Sarpanch Mantalai; Amitab Bachan, Sarpanch Sira B; Balwan Singh, Sarpanch Bap; Krishan Kumar and Hans Raj Thakur, Chairman Chandi Mata Temple Committee were part of the delegation.
