Principal PTTI Vijaypur inaugurates training courses for police personnel

SAMBA, July 7: The 30-day “SSG/SSF Refresher Course” and five-week “Disaster Management Course” commenced today at Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) Vijaypur in which 15 and 32 police personnel respectively of various units of Police Department are participating.
The objective of these courses is to enhance the capabilities and tactics of Police officials. Both the courses were formally inaugurated by Shiv Kumar, SSP, Principal, PTTI Vijaypur, who in his inaugural address, briefed the participating officers/officials about the basic concepts of these courses.
He laid stress on the emerging challenges while performing security duties and emphasized to adopt professionalism and innovative methods for preparedness at all levels during natural calamities, accidents and other untoward incidents.
Besides, one month “PSO Refresher Course” organized by PTTI Vijaypur was concluded in which 22 police personnel of various units of Police Department participated. The objective of this course was to enhance the capabilities and tactics of police officials to protect VIPs/protected persons.
On the occasion, a valedictory function was organized which was graced by Principal PTTI Vijaypur. Speaking on the occasion, he said that this course would definitely help Police personnel in performing their field duties with VIPs/Protected persons as these trainees have been taught crises management, Reaction Drill, Evacuation, Anti ambush techniques, Tactical position taking and medical contingency besides all required Do’s & Don’ts including precautionary measures to be adopted while performing PSO duties.
Among others Zia-Ul-Haq, Deputy SP (Admn/Outdoor), Devinder Gupta, Deputy SP (R&D), Kuldeep Raj, Deputy SP (Tech), Inspector Surinderpaul, Inspector Vishal Kumar (RI/CDI), Inspector Pawan Kumar, Inspector Vivek Kalsotra, Inspector Ram Lal, Inspector Bhopinder Singh, Inspector Javed Ahmed, Inspector Kanwal Raina, Inspector Mulkh Raj, Inspector Himanshu Dutta, Inspector Ashish Dharmat, SI Shehbaz Ahmed and Narinder Kumar were present on the occasion.
