JKTJAC deputation calls on DSEJ, submits memorandum of demands

JAMMU, July 7: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC), led by UT President Vinod Sharma, today called on Director School Education Jammu Ashok Kumar Sharma in his office chamber and raised the burning issues of the teaching fraternity.
The issues highlighted before the Director, included conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III by arranging a divisional level committee meeting so that eligible RRETs get their salaries, consideration of cut off date of CID verification for conversion as the date of submission of files at district level committee ( CEO Office) so that their conversion is not delayed, regularisation of ReTs whose files are lying in DSEJ office, conversion of EVs to ReTs as they are suffering badly, provision of earned leave in favour of teachers engaged during summer/winter vacation for summer/winter camps and for other duties, providing DDO powers to headless zones/schools, resumption of mutual transfer cases of teachers Grade II/III as many files are lying in DSEJ, consideration of mutual transfer of 3rd teachers and RRETs with Teachers Grade II/III, issuance of 2nd DPC list of teachers to Masters and release of Mid Day Meal dues of last financial year.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC leadership immediately after ATD (annual transfer drive).
Later the deputation also met Personnel Officer and Chief Accounts Officer regarding the issues of the teachers.
Others who accompanied the deputation included Aaftab Malik, Rajesh Singh Jamwal, Sukesh Khajuria, Subash Chander, Ravinder Manhas, Lekh Raj Parihar, Surinder Manhas, Ravi Kumar Sharma, Gurdyal Chowdhury, Bhopinder Gupta, Sandeep Sharma, Jugal Dubey and Mohit Jamwal.
