JAMMU, July 8: Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Tahir Khurshid Raina today reserved order on pre-arrest bail application of Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma, Principal Govt Medical College Jammu, in Crime Branch case of forging her date of birth.
Earlier on last Thursday, Special Judge Anticorruption had granted two days interim bail to the Principal GMC subject to furnishing personal and surety bonds of Rs 50,000 each along with the conditions that she will fully participate in the investigation, not leave the jurisdiction of the court without the prior permission and will not influence the witnesses or to tamper with the evidence in any manner.
Today when the bail application was listed, Special Judge T K Raina, after hearing Sr Adv Pranav Kohli for the applicant, reserved the bail application for orders.
Accordingly to the case FIR number 0057, dated 01-07-2023, registered in Police Station EOW Crime Branch Jammu, Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma is performing her Government service on basis of forged/fabricated DOB. She with the connivance of the then officers/officials of JKBOSE committed the offence of forgery and used forged document as genuine, thereby causing wrongful gain to herself and corresponding wrongful loss to the State exchequer.
