CHENNAI, Dec 14: The prices of thoor dal, moong dal and gram dal moved up while those of sugar declined, rest all other commodities remained unaltered in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.
Sugar moved down by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 2,950 from Rs 3,000.
However, thoor dal, moong dal and gram dal moved up to Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 7,100, Rs 8,600 and Rs 3,900 from yesterday’s rates of Rs 7,000, Rs 8,500 and Rs 3,800, respectively.
Following are the wholesale rates of various agri-commodities today (in rupees per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,100 Urad Dal Rs 6,900 Moong Dal Rs 8,600 Gram Dal Rs 3,900 Sugar Rs 2,950 Wheat Rs 2,400 Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,450 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,600. (AGENCIES)
