JAMMU, July 9: The Director General of Police Dilbag Singh today rewarded two cops of the traffic police who exhibited exemplary honesty with their professional conduct.
A press statement said that ASI Darshan Kumar and Head Constable Satpal of Traffic police deployed at Sarbal parking found a bag of a woman pilgrim namely Yasoda Bain wife of Manu Bhai of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, containing Rs 80000, a mobile phone and some yatra documents.
In an act of greater responsibility, the cops traced the rightful owner of the bag and handed over the woman her property.
Impressed by the honesty of the traffic personnel, the DGP announced for them a commendation certificate and a cash reward of Rs 10000 each.
