JAMMU, July 9: An awareness camp was organised by PDD at Durganagar Ward-64 regarding prepaid recharge system.
All the officials from PDD including SE, Executive Engineer, AEEs, JEs and IT team were present on the occasion.
A large number of people from Durganagar, Roopnagar, Dogranagar and its adjoining areas attended the Camp. There was general demand of public that to continue the previous system of post paid for the payment of electricity bills and give some breathing time for recharge system till the maximum consumers are covered in this Scheme.
Sanjay Ganjoo, president Welfare Committee Sector-2 and its extension, Bihari Lal Raina, general secretary, Welfare Committee Sectr-1 and 3 and M.K.Razdan general secretary, Welfare Committee, Dogra Nagar while speaking on the occasion and put forth the demand of public and demanded that previous system of paying bills through post paid should continue till consumers are fully educated about new system.
They said this is first phase and system has been started from Durganagar and the staff of Department is not fully trained to reply the customer queries. Presently there are too many difficulties in the new system and a large number of people are facing problems in the same.
Roshan Lal Raina president Sector-One and Three Durganagar was in continuous touch with MD (JPDCL) and higher authorities and has requested them that previous system should continue.
