JAMMU, July 9: A 17-year-old youth died while as two others were injured when their scooty was hit by a truck here at Jhajjar Kotli area today.
A police spokesperson said that Neeraj Singh (17) son of Hari Singh of Dessa, Doda, Rahul Singh (22) son of Bhupinder Singh of Swankha, Vijaypur, and Sahil Singh (19) son of Bharat Singh of Doda at present Digiana, suffered injuries when they were hit by a truck near Kala Jarh area falling under the jurisdiction of Jhajjar Kotli Police Station around 3:45 PM today.
The injured were taken to Government Medical College Jammu where one of them, Neeraj Singh, was declared as dead on arrival, he said.
While police have shifted the body of the deceased to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem, a case FIR Number 155/2023 under sections 279, 337, 304(A) was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and further investigation taken up.
