UDHAMPUR, July 10: Police today recovered a minor girl from Patiala, who was allegedly kidnapped by a youth from village Sambal in Udhampur, last fortnight.
Father of the girl had lodged a written complaint at Police Station Udhampur that his daughter was kidnapped by an unknown person from Sambal Udhampur on June 22.
Acting on the complaint, a Police team under the supervision of SHO Udhampur, Raghubir Singh developed some leads with the help of technical inputs and hectic efforts. Thereafter a special Police team was deputed to Patiala from where the minor girl was recovered and the accused was arrested.
After completion of legal formalities, the accused was presented before the Court of DMM Udhampur while the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
