SRINAGAR, Dec 14: Police arrested a teacher for allegedly raping his student at his tuition centre in Barzulla, area of Srinagar.
Police sources said the girl, 15, from Mehjoor Nagar visited the teacher’s residence, who is 40-years-old, in Bulbul Bagh, Barzulla to pay her monthly fee.
“But, the teacher being alone in the house raped the girl, which was proved after medical examination,” police sources said.
The accused teacher was a teacher at a private school at Solina, and was also running a tuition centre at his home.
Police have lodged a case (FIR No. 242/2013 under Section 364 and 376 of RPC) and arrested the accused teacher.
