BMS holds demonstration, highlights demands

REASI, Dec 14: The members of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) held demonstration in support of their demands here today and submitted a memorandum in this regard to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah through Deputy Commissioner, Reasi.
Addressing the demonstrating workers, senior labour leaders demanded the Government to implement all welfare schemes properly with the participation of labour organisations.
They demanded that proper arrangement for medical treatment be made at Panchayat level, minium wages under labour law be provided to all Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, mid-day meal workers and D-class Government employees, BPL Cards be made for all poor workers and small scale industries be established in all villages.
Besides other demands, they also raised voice for regularization of all daily rated, need based and TDL workers after completion of seven years of service in their respective departments.
