Theft at Bhawan worked out, accused arrested

KATRA, July 11: A case of theft at Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan has been worked out by Police with the arrest of accused and recovery of stolen property.
A pilgrim namely Balbir Kumar son of Rati Ram, resident of Sirhindi Bazar, Patiala, Punjab had reported at PS Bhawan that his bag containing two mobile phones costing Rs 25500 when he along with his family members were taking rest near Durga Bhawan.
After registering an FIR in this connection at Police Station Bhawan, investigation of the case was entrusted to ASI Jatinder Singh who after strenuous efforts and using human and technical assistance apprehended the accused person namely Sonu (32) son of Bhajan Lal, resident of Bulandshahr (UP) from Bhawan area within few hours. After sustained interrogation of suspected person, he confessed that he had stolen the bag of complainant. On this, stolen bag along with mobile phones was recovered on his disclosure.
The Police action was led by SHO Bhawan Khyatimaan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Bhawan Bhisham Dubey.
