UDHAMPUR, July 11: A young housewife allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at the house of her in-law in Ramnagar, here today.
According to Police, Babli Devi (25), wife of Sunil Singh, resident of Rasli Thakrai in Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. The family members noticed her in serious condition and rushed her to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where she died.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem and after completion of all the legal formalities, it was handed over to the family members for the last rites. Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Ramnagar Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
