JAMMU, July 11: Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed that they have arrested a drug peddler from Akhnoor Area and recovered 4 grams of heroin from his possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Lal Sharma assisted by SHO Akhnoor Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq while on naka duty at TRC Akhnoor rounded up a suspect.
He was later identified as Jaspal Singh of Chatha Jammu.
During the search of the suspect, the spokesperson said, 4 grams of heroin was recovered.
He has been booked in case FIR number 194/2023 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Akhnoor and further investigation taken up.
