JAMMU, July 11: Police claimed today that they have arrested a drug peddler from Pounichak area here and recovered 60 ampoules of psychotropic substances from his possession.
Accused Suraj Kumar of Dogra Hall, Parade Ground, Jammu, was arrested with 30 ampoules of diazepam of 2 ml each and as many ampoules of Phenargan of 2 ml each by a team of Police Post Pounichak led by SDPO Domana Vishal Shoor assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Kunal Singh Jamwal and incharge Police Post Pounichak PSI Nitish Khajuria, police said.
He has been arrested and booked Under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up, said police.
