JAMMU, July 12: Government of Jammu and Kashmir has accorded sanction to the creation of ‘Department of Public Grievances’.
The newly created department deal with redressal of public grievances, live public grievance hearing by the LG, J&K Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System, monitoring disposal of grievances by Administrative departments & subordinate offices and monitoring of redressal of grievances received on social media.
As per the Order, LG shall be subsumed in the Department of Public Grievances and staff provided in LG’s Grievance Cell by the General Administration Department shall work in the Department of Public Grievances till posting of permanent staff. Further, requirement of staff, if any, on account of the Department of Public Grievances, shall be met through internal adjustment and there shall be no fresh creation of posts in this regard.
