JAMMU, July 13: While preparations are in full swing worldwide to make World Hindu Congress 2023 a grand success, which going to be held at Bangkok in the month of November, its Chairman Swami Gyayanand in on a brief visit to Jammu on 13th & 14th July to take stock of preparations of VHP J&K Ladakh unit in this regard.
He also addressed one selectively invited group of intellectuals and concerned citizens at Jammu Club to apprise them about the present discourse of Hindus living worldwide and their stature in every field of life, i.e., social, cultural economic & political and about various activities undertaken by WHC through its multiple subsidiaries.
The conference was organised by J&K Ladakh unit of VHP. Swami Vigyanand, who is in charge of VHP’s International affairs, is an IIT alumni and a researcher of Panini grammar and has been working worldwide and is instrumental in spreading VHP in 120 countries.
Addressing the gathering, he informed that the organisation’s sole aim is to bring all Hindus of the world on one platform and develop an ecosystem for equitable growth of all Hindus in all fields of life. He stressed the dire need of strengthening Hindu community worldwide in all walks of life including the economic aspect and also the need to appreciate the flourishing sections of Hindu community abroad which is contributing comparatively much more to the respective national exchequers. He explained the origin and present status of the WHC and about previous conferences held at New Delhi & Chicago.
He later held a separate meeting with the executive committee of Vishaw Kashmir Samaj, headed by Er Kiran Wattal and discussed the present status of forcefully evicted Hindu community of Kashmir. It is pertinent to mention here that Swamiji has worked for J&K affairs on the issues of Hindu exodus and Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
Initiating interactions, Working President VHP J&K Ladakh Rajesh Gupta confirmed probable participation of a good number of people from J&K in WHC Bangkok and introduced Swami Gyayanand to prominent people of Jammu in the presence of Leelakaran Sharma, President; Shakti Dutt Sharma, Vice President; Abhishek Gupta, Secretary; Kartik Soodan, Bajrang Dal President; Apaar Sharma, Dharmacharya Sampark Parmukh and other State and district office bearers namely Rajesh Bhasin, Rajan Gupta & Dr Soni Singh Sambyal.
