RAJOURI, July 13: People from villages Saj, Mehrajpura and Planghar in Thannamandi area are suffering badly due to non- availability of water supply.
People have to travel a lot for carrying the water as there is no natural source of water in the nearby areas. The department is not paying any attention towards the suffering of people. The water supply scheme remain defunct most of time due to fault in machinery of mechanical wing of Jal Shakti Department and due to that mostly water supply schemes remain effected. Locals told that in some cases water is supplied only once in a week that that too for a short time and due to which they are living a difficult life here.
The Mechanical wing of Jal Shakti (PHE) Department failed to maintain the machinery on the scheme and due to which people from three village are suffering badly. This isn’t for the ist time but it’s routine practice for Mechanical wing on this scheme. Locals appealed to the LG and District Administration to take action against those who failed to maintain the machinery b and responsible for suffering of people.
