UDHAMPUR, Dec 15: A young man attempted self immolation at his house in village Rathian, here today.
Identified as Mohd Sharif (32), son of Mohd Hussain of Rathian, the man sustained serious burn injuries after he poured kerosene oil on his body and set himself on fire.
He was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur by the family members. Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained.
Police has registered a case in this connection.
