DODA, July 16: Police here today arrested two narcotic smugglers and recovered heroin from their possession.
Sources informed that cops from Police Station Bhaderwah while on checking duty at Domail Bhaderwah apprehended two alleged narcotic smugglers Mohammad Sohail, alias Sohail Ganja, son of Mohammad Aslam, resident of Sarafa Mohalla in Bhaderwah and Arsan Malik, resident of Qilla Mohalla, Bhaderwah and during their search heroin was recovered.
Moreover a bike bearing registered Number JK06-B 0196 belonging to the accused Arsan Malik which was used for transporting the intoxicant substance was also seized.
In this regard a case in FIR Number 87/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
In a handout the Police Department has claimed that the narco-smuggler Mohammad Sohail alias Sohail Ganja was a notorious drug peddler and was wanted by Bhaderwah Police since long.
